Mission Statement:

"Buddhist Awareness Week (BAW) is an opportunity to educate the Kansas City Metropolitan area residents about the basics of Buddhism as well as the various Buddhist resources available in the area. In addition, our objective is to establish a Buddhist group at UMKC to support the Buddhist students and create a supportive community with social as well as spiritual events throughout the year. For this week, our goal is to bring together the groups from the Kansas City metropolitan area, including: Temple Buddhist Centers Groups and UMKC's Buddhist Group, as well as several other wonderfully supportive groups throughout the Kansas City area."
